Shubham: Where Music and Dance Makes Us Family.

At Shubham, we don’t just teach dance – we nurture a community. A space where students, teachers, and staff come together to support, uplift, and celebrate each other. Doing festivals, birthdays, and milestones together are our thing. When life gets tough, we hold each other up. We laugh, we dance, we sing, and we grow together.

This bond we share – it’s more than just dance. It’s one Shubham family.

We first went on stage to invoke Durga on Durga Shashthi in 2012. A festival that is celebrated worldwide remains our favorite time to offer a new work to Durga for her blessings and seek encouragement of all our well wishers to carry forward, our purpose.

Our founder being originally from Bengal, this festival strikes a different chord of emotions and integrity amongst Shubhamites.

Basant Panchami is celebrated every year with all students at the Shubham premises. We decorate the space on the previous day and ready ourselves to invoke the Goddess of learning, Saraswati.  In the evenings we host a small informal in-house performance by students and friends. A beautiful way to connect and bond.

Guru Poornima is celebrated in Shubham every year to remember the huge body of work of our Gurus, who have shaped our lives and carved and contributed immensely to our art forms.

Beginners and all our students perform Ghungroo Poojan on Basant Panchami and/or on Guru Poornima.
