A recognized All India Radio artist, her repertoire spans classical, semi-classical, and traditional forms, with a special focus on Yakshagana, where she seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary expression. With an extensive performance repertoire across renowned platforms, she continues to captivate audiences with her depth and versatility.

Education and Mentorship

Alaka is a dedicated educator and mentor who integrates the performing arts into education, fostering artistic appreciation among young learners. She currently serves as a Mentor in Performing Arts at Prarthana.in World School, where she enriches students’ educational experiences through music and dance. Previously, she was an educator at Vydehi School of Excellence, where she pioneered initiatives to nurture young talent and instil a deep appreciation for the arts.

Leadership and Cultural Advocacy

As the Joint Secretary of the Karnataka Artist Association, Alaka plays a pivotal role in championing regional arts and supporting artists across Karnataka. She actively advocates for cultural preservation, promotes artistic excellence, and fosters initiatives that empower the artistic community.

TEDx Speaker

Alaka was invited as a TEDx speaker, where she delivered a compelling talk on “Heal the World” with the subtopic “Vibration of the Universe”.  Through this platform, she shared her insights on the transformative power of sound and music in healing, emotional well- being, and cultural harmony.
